Cutting Granite

Ever Wonder What It’s Like To Cut Through Solid Stone Slabs?

Check it out here! This is from our warehouse in Collierville, Tennessee. We have a machine that slowly and accurately cuts the granite to the specific sizes needed for each project.

Here is a quick video of the process!

Discover Granite Cutting!

As you can see here, we have a very solid support for the slab of granite. The concrete slab is re-poured every few months to keep from acquiring any major deep cuts that could throw the cut off. The water is to keep the saw cool and to keep dust down – we can tell you from experience (and a commonly dust covered shop) that it’s almost impossible to prevent!

The experience is exciting! To watch a giant slab of stone transform into a counter top with a purpose is so interesting. As complicated as it may look, it’s truly not. It’s a matter of having the right tools and having the patience. Our skilled employees handle the machine and the stone very carefully – it’s very fragile and is stored upright and level to prevent breakage.
